One of my primary goals as a photographer is to take photos each and every day.
If you follow this blog at all, you are aware that landscape photography is my primary focus. That’s not going to change.
But shooting landscapes does require certain weather conditions, and an investment of time and effort that aren’t always available.
What’s a poor photographer to do?
Lately I’ve come to realize that there is a whole tiny universe just outside my front door – plants, bugs, birds, and creatures of all sorts – and they oftentimes make for amazing photographs.

This tiny universe has a charm all it’s own. So when the world at large won’t cooperate, this is where I’ll go.
Can’t wait to see the creativity it inspires.
It’samazing what you will find when you look really closely! 🙂
You’re so right Laura, there is wonder all around us all the time. Thank you for your thoughts.
Nice one, Rich. I mighta tilted the camera down a bit, but that’s only because I’m annoyingly picky. 🙂
Yeah, I think you’re right Frank. But it was the best of this particular bunch 😉
Bright spots of purple are lovely too.
Macro rules! Just saying.
