There’s a popular notion these days that life somehow owes us everything. That we should be able to just sit on our collective asses, imagine what we desire, and (boom!), it’s magically delivered to our door with no additional effort on our own part.
We’ve been given life. Along with that life we receieved ability and potential. That’s all we get.
And that, I submit to you, is more than enough.
Beyond that, it’s our responsibility to take what we’ve already been given, and, through our own efforts, go out into the world and do something meaningful and purposeful with that life.
It ain’t easy, and it’s not supposed to be, but that’s what life expects of us.
